Sage Interactive Application originally started as Project Sage. A five-day design sprint initiative to take an empathetic look at the driving experience with an automobile manufacturer. The goal was to identify a user problem and create a cohesive, cross-platform interactive solution. The following touchpoints were integrated into many platforms: in-vehicle displays and controls, mobile applications, voice interactions, and IoT.

Research
A few questions were asked to volunteers about their interactions with an automobile. These questions gauged an understanding of their pain points. A summary of their pain points processed goals and a schedule to meet milestones. Personas and scenarios were curated to build a competent amount of tasks that fit confidently into the next phase of development.

Prototype
The next phase of development involved building a comprehensive wireframe and prototype that felt appropriate based on the research. It was a major challenge to overcome when giving volunteers many tasks to complete within the application. The multiple rounds of prototype feedback were crucial toward designing a layout that simplified the navigation system.

Solution Part One
Sage is a reflection upon wisdom and experience. The solution is an interactive application that’s built around you through experience. Part one presents a navigation overview of the infotainment, smartphone, and smartwatch experiences that are consistent with seamless integrations.

Experience: Playlists

Experience: Chat

Experience: Temperature

Experience: Dashboard

Solution Part Two
The continuation of the solution adds depth to the interactive application through wisdom. Part two presents a comprehensive overview of how machine learning, voice interactions, and behaviors can be intertwined into artificial intelligence. Convenience becomes effortless as you’re connected to your automobile with all interaction options at your disposal.
